Why did we choose Argan Oil?

Why did we choose Argan Oil?

"Literally the very first time I tried Argan Oil - I was hooked!  My super dry skin soaked it up and kept my skin hydrated the rest of the day."

"I always knew it was great for hair but finding out the benefits of Argan Oil for your skin while standing in an argan oil womens co-op in Morocco- I felt like I just had to share the news so we started One Earth!"

Terri-Lynn Woodhouse, Co-Founder One Earth (photo taken in Morocco)

All Argan Oil is NOT the same

Not all are created equally, ours is certified organic, clean enough to eat (but leave it for your skin and hair), always cold pressed, never chemically treated, refined or diluted. Ours is sustainably sourced from a single provider that is UNESCO certified. Cruelty free, socially responsible and absolute magic for not only your hair but skin too!

YES!  YOU BET WE ADD ARGAN OIL TO EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT WE MAKE. Hair, Body + Bath.

WHY?

1) You get visible results - it improves, elasticity, smoothness, moisture levels and the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

2) It's great for ALL skin types, young, old and in-between. It locks moisture in for dry skin and balances sebum levels to keep oily skin in check

3) It's amazing for ezcema and psoriasis prone skin- it's molecules are so small that it heals from lower levels of the dermis.  The only oil that can get lower is prickly pear.

  • It is one of nature’s most abundant sources of essential fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamin E.
  • It’s non-comedogenic, making it perfect for all skin types at all ages.
  • It locks in moisture while balancing sebum levels to keep oily skin in check.
  • It absorbs on contact, leaving skin, hair, and nails looking nourished and radiant—never greasy.
  • 100% Pure Argan Oil: Is one of nature's richest sources of essential fatty acids, which are known improve firmness and boost the look of skin elasticity

IT'S FROM MOROCCO AND ALWAYS SENT WITH LOVE:

We source our argan and prickly pear oil from carefully-vetted harvesting co-ops led solely by Berber women.

To ensure over harvesting is NOT happening (and less nutrient density) women collect only the argan fruits that have naturally fallen from the argan tree, once a year.  They then crack them open by hand to get to the oil-rich kernels inside.

The co-ops pay women directly for their work, helping them achieve a new financial independence and send their children—boys and girls—to school.

Argan fruit growing and harvesting is good for the environment.

HOW TO USE IT

Take 2-5 drops in your hands and lightly massage it into your skin. Use as the last step in your skincare routine both morning and night to lock in hydration. It works as a moisturizer, cuticle oil, lip salve, under-eye treatment, hair serum—it truly does everything.

DID YOU KNOW?

It takes pressing 600 Argan kernels (by hand) to get enough Argan Oil to fill one - 2 oz/60 ml bottle of our 100% Argan Oil.

in 2014- UNESCO declared the unique, labour-intensive Moroccan tradition of shelling Argan fruit + cold-pressing Argan kernels by hand—"a skill passed from mother to daughter for generations—intangible cultural heritage.”

We believe it matters who made your product and why they made it- is it helping to make the world a better place?
